I once went to a writing course when I was 16 and remembered thinking to myself: Wow, these people are good! We had to write an introduction to a story, and afterwards I felt as if I could melt sitting between children who obviously knew how to write amazing stories. I never wanted to write...but a few years ago I started feeling the Holy Spirit gently pushing me in that direction. Instead of feeling self-conscious I felt God was saying that this is not "about me!"
So, most of the posts you will read is not "about me", but about God. These posts are "real life" experiences from everyday living, as well as stories from some of the women in my life that I admire and adore.
Even thought the blog is not about me, but about what God is doing in my life as a woman and bride, I also know that His grace wasn't cheap and that He chose me to be His beloved. And because of that I am not ashamed to share who I am, because I now carry the glory of Christ within, and are covered with His righteousness and unmerited favour.
So...about me
My maiden name is Laetitia Schreuder. The name means joy. I was born in South Africa in a little town called Newcastle, and only later moved to the city of Johannesburg where I finished my high school years. I then completed my studies at the University of Pretoria and are currently in the field of Communications and Marketing. I started writing this blog in 2011, when I was 28 years old and are happily married to a loving and gentle husband called George King.
I love green tea, good Thai food with close friends, church, talking in front of people, reality TV shows and a warm bath. Myles Monroe, Kenneth Copeland, Francine Rivers and Henry Cloud are some of my best authors. But my favourite author of all times is Elizabeth George (a woman after God's heart!)
My favourite past time is writing and nowadays cooking (because I have to). I also love clever jokes and family.
I don't like washing dishes, waking up early and skype (when the signal disappears).
My passion is to stir the hearts of women to know that because of the cross of Jesus they're no longer commoners, but Royalty with all the benefits of the Kingdom of God. Women are beautiful and should be celebrated. My heart is that all women will know their worth, and discover their true identity and the passionate love Jesus Christ has for them.
Each day with God is WOW!
