The First Time I said "WOW!"

I am not sure about you, but I love the word WOW! When I wear a nice dress and my husband says: Wow love, you look good! Or you go to a birthday party and your best friend says: WOW, where did you get those shoes! It is truly an amazing feeling....

I remembered the first time I said "Wow!" I didn't say it aloud, but I still remember the moment like it was yesterday. A beautiful, young woman played a worship song on a violin at a Christian camp, and her eyes were filled with love and grace. It left such a "wow" impression on my heart that I said to God that it doesn't matter what He asks of me, as long as I can shine his glory the way that woman revealed it to me.
Throughout my Christian walk I was introduced to women with a light shining bright, women that sometimes guided me through tough seasons and celebrated awesome victories with me. It is such a breath-taking and inspiring moment - when you encounter such a woman.

But what makes such a woman WOW? You can page through Hollywood magazines or watch American Top Models and still not find that unique characteristic that makes you want to sacrifice everything to be WOW. It is not always the physical beauty that touches your heart, it is definitely not money or fame, but a hidden beauty that brings peace and joy as a message straight from heaven.

Some girls think it is found in the colour lipstick they choose, or the clothes they wear, but I have known beautiful women that don't wear any make-up, and extraordinary women with many wrinkles. So what makes a woman WOW?

Wisdom.

A mouth filled with waves of wisdom flooding your soul. A woman with the revelation of Christ in a real and tangible way that reveals His secrets and purity. Wisdom finding it's definition in the fear of the Lord in every aspect of a woman's life - in the simple things and the profound things.

You feel dry without wisdom surrounding you. I was blessed with wise women who became the pillars in my spiritual walk with God - women who have helped me find a reference for God in all circumstances and painted a picture of Christ that makes me want to love Him more.

This blog has been created to share those wise lessons with you so that you soul can be refreshed and your heart can be re-directed to your true identity. A life filled with WOW moments...and just maybe there will be a 16 year old girl one day looking at you thinking...WOW...I will do anything to shine like her!
